October 30 - Finish Biomes

Hello ladies and gentlemen,

Welcome and great to see you all today folks!  Today in class we will continue to work on our Biome spreadsheets and also do a little writing activity practicing our ability to compare two Biomes.  Writing is a skill that is very important to develop for our future academic careers.  Let's get down to business!  Below you will find our agenda, homework, and resources for the day.

Objectives:

1. Read and annotate a text comparing biomes
2. Create a venn diagram to graphically compare a taiga and temperate forest
3. Write a comparative summary about biomes

Homework:

1. Biomes Webquest due tonight
2. Bring a recipe to class on Thursday!
1. Should be a food that you enjoy!
2. Should include at least 7 ingredients
1. Ingredients must be stand alone items (not blended)
3. Comparative Reading/Writing Assignment due Thursday
