Dominaria Project Resources

Hello ladies and gentlemen,

For this project there are a few basic resources that you will need in order to start out.  You will find them in the links below.

Dominaria Project Directions

Dominaria Map

Government Construction Questions

Please open the Project Directions and read them carefully as there is a lot of information and steps involved in this project.  You should read the entire directions document this weekend!

Period 2 Groups

Period 6 Groups

For Part I of the Project you and your group should create a Google Document and share it with each other so that all of you can contribute to the same document.

Title your document - Dominaria Part I - Period ____ - Names
Use Chicago Style for your document.  You will be PRINTING it and turning it in when you are done.

Monday Dec 1 - Today in class you should have:
  1. Delegated tasks - figure out who in your group is doing each part
    1. Who is drawing the map?
      1. The map must be hand drawn on paper.
      2. The map requires a lot of different factors and it might be a good idea to do several maps that focus on the different factors
        1. Geography/Resources
        2. Climate/Biome
        3. Cities/States/Population Density
    2. Who is writing the population report?
    3. Who is writing the Sovereignty report?
    4. Who is writing the Government/Economic Report?
      1. The group should probably collaborate on the Constitution!
  2. Begin working on Part I of the Dominaria Project
Wednesday Dec 3 - Use the entire period to work on your project.  Important that you stay on task as ALL of Part 1 is due on Friday.  Remember that you must have a printed copy of ALL of Part 1 in class ready to turn in on Friday (make sure someone in your group with a reliable printer is able to print out the document for your group and make sure your map is complete).

Part 1 Google Presentation breakdown:
Be creative and include pictures!  Must include:
  • Title Slide - Country Name, Region, Government/Economic Type, member names
  • Slide 1 - Country Map (scan and include)
  • Slide 2 - Population (including description & Culture)
  • Slide 3 - Sovereignty
  • Slide 4 - Government/Constitution
  • Slide 5 - Economic Systems
  • Slide 6 - Country Motto & Flag
Presentation must be 3-5 minutes long

Friday Dec 5 - You will have the first half of period to finalize Part 1 of your projects (Part 1 includes the printed document, country map, and a Google Presentation).  The last half of the class you will be presenting your projects.  I will be collecting ALL of Part 1 at the end of the period.
We will be playing the Dominaria Game (Part II of the Project) in class this week.  It is a participation based game so it is important that you are in class and playing the game in order to receive full credit. Please Review the Directions for the game and bring a ziplock baggie to class by Wednesday so that we will be prepared and ready to go!
