September 28 - Latitude and Longitude Practice

Hello ladies and gentlemen,

Today in class we will be doing some basic practice using latitude and longitude.  This is some good stuff to know in terms of working with and manipulating maps.  Hope that you are ready because this is our last day together before the Fall Break!  Hope you are getting your Virtual Campus Tour done because it is due tonight, don't forget!  Hope you are all doing well on this fine day!  Below you will find our agenda, homework, and resources for the day.

Objectives:
  1. Discuss the attributes of latitude and longitude through note taking and collaborative practice
  2. Locate and identify locations via their geographic coordinates by completing a longitude/latitude practice w/s

September 26 - VCT Data Transfer and Creation

Hello ladies and gentlemen,

Today in class we will be working on our VCT.  Remember that if you want to earn high marks you need to make this product as interactive as possible, meaning it must include a wide variety of links and illustrate that you know how to use Google Slides as a production tool.  It will be due Thursday night so if you don't get it done in class today you will have some extra time to work on it.  But do not plan on working on it in class on Thursday!  Great to see you all today!  Below you will find our agenda, homework, and resources for the day.

September 25 - VCT Data Collection and start mapping

Hello ladies and gentlemen,

Today in class we will be finishing our data collection so that if you have everything you need to start working on your digital maps.  This is our last week before we get a week off!  We will be spending most of the week working on our VCT maps so make sure that you work hard to get it done!  I hope that you all had wonderful weekends!  Below you will find our agenda, homework, and resources for the day.

September 19 - History of Map Making and Start VCT

September 12 - Fairytale Presentations

Hello ladies and gentlemen,

Today is the moment of truth!  We will be telling our fairytales to the class starting today!  Huzzah!  I am pretty excited to see what you are your groups were able to produce in the time that you had on this project.  This was your first major effort in this class and I am very proud of you.  We will review my expectations for these presentations and then jump right in!  This should be good!  Below you will find our agenda, homework, and resources for the day.

September 11 - Fairytale Work Day #3

Hello ladies and gentlemen,

Today in class we will have our last chance to work on our projects here at school!  Remember that these projects are due to Google Classroom no later than 11:59 tonight!  If it is marked late in Google Classroom then you will lose half credit on your assignment so make sure to coordinate with your partners to get it done and turn it in!  I am pretty excited to see what your final products look like.  I hope that everyone had a fabulous weekend and that you are ready to go for another week!  Below you will find our agenda, homework, and resources for the day.

September 1 - Growth Mindset

Hello ladies and gentlemen,

Today is our rally day!  Woohoo!  Hope you get a chance to support our JV and Varsity football teams tonight for our first home game 😀.  Because of the shortened schedule today we are going to take a little break from the Five Themes and the Fairytale Project and talk about Growth Mindset.  This is a really cool and powerful idea that I hope some of you are able to internalize and engage with!  Always great to see you all and don't forget that you have a three day weekend for Labor Day!  Below you will find our agenda, homework, and resources for the day.
