February 28 - Finish GGS and start Doc

Hello ladies and gentlemen,

Welcome all you amazing people!  I am sorry to miss you all as I am out!  Today in class we will be working on a reading assignment that attempts to explain why Europe was able to dominate the world in the 18th and 19th centuries.  Should be a fun and informative day!  Let's get down to business!  Below you will find our agenda, homework, and resources for the day.

  1. Skim and scan a college level text to better understand the theories of Jared Diamond.

February 26 - Europe Map Test and Introduce Imperialism

Hello ladies and gentlemen,

Welcome and great to see all you beautiful people!  Today in class we will be taking our Europe Map test!  This one is more challenging than North America, simply by virtue of being less familiar.  I hope that you all have spent some time studying!  After the Test we will get down to business with our next major unit which will be to examine some of the history of colonization and its impacts on Africa. This is one of my favorite units for the year!  Below you will find our agenda, homework, and resources for the day.

Objectives:
  1. Locate and identify political and physical features of Europe
  2. Skim and scan a college level text to better understand the theories of Jared Diamond
