March 8 - Rwanda Scavenger Hunt

Hello ladies and gentlemen,

Welcome back and great to see you all!  Today in class we will be finishing our discussion on Africa's history (if we need to) and then we will be doing a scavenger hunt regarding the Rwandan genocide!  We will spend a bit of time looking at the Rwandan genocide because it is one great example of the political and social damage that Africa is suffering from because of its history with European colonization.  We will be watching the film Hotel Rwanda next week!  Below you will find our agenda, homework, and resources for the day.

March 1 - Finish GGS Reading and Watch Episode 3

Hello ladies and gentlemen,

Great to see you all!  Today in class we will be finishing the Prologue to Guns,Germs, and Steel and then we will watch episode 3 of the documentary based on Diamond's book.  This is a great examination of the history of how the world around us has developed and such different speeds.  His theory is pretty straightforward and easy to follow!  I hope you find this as interesting as I do.  Below you will find our agenda, homework, and resources.
