March 6 - Start Africa Discussion

Hello ladies and gentlemen,

Welcome and great to see you all!  Today we will be reviewing the third episode of Guns, Germs, and Steel and then we will be talking about Africa.  This is our first really true historical topic and I am so excited!  This is also a very brief summary of a wide range of history!  Focus on the trends and big ideas so that going forward you have a better understanding of why Africa is facing the issues that it does today.  I love this!  Below you will find our agenda, homework, and resources for the day.

1. Describe the impacts of geographic luck and its modern day impact on the continent of Africa
