November 1 - Columbian Exchange Food Origins Project

Hello ladies and gentlemen,

Welcome all you beautiful people!  Today in class we will be starting a project where you will be exploring how your favorite foods are made!  this is a fun way to examine how the Columbian Exchange has impacted our world today.  You must explore where each of the ingredients that is in your favorite dish come from and then create a Google Slideshow that represents your favorite food! 😋  This should be fun!  Below you will find our agenda, homework, and resources for the day.

Objectives:
  1. Explore the origins of your favorite recipes and how the Columbian Exchange has impacted food today
Agenda:

  2. Food Origins Activity
    1. Origins of Animals (that may be in your recipe/dish)
    2. Food Origin Map (that may be in your recipe/dish)
    3. Interactive Map Website to color countries
Homework:
  1. Reading/Writing Assignment due tonight
  2. Food Origins Activity due Monday
