March 16

Hello ladies and gentlemen,

Today in class we will be finishing Hotel Rwanda.  This is an intense video, illustrating the genocide that took place in Rwanda in 1994.  Although it is PG-13 there are some disturbing scenes.  This is an important part of our discussion of the modern history of Africa so be ready to discuss!  Below you will find our agenda, homework, and resources for the day.

Objectives:
  1. Empathize with the Rwandan conflict through the viewing of Hotel Rwanda
Agenda:
  1. Finish: Hotel Rwanda
Homework:
  1. Current Event #5 due tomorrow!
  2. Africa Map Test on Monday!
  3. Finish EdPuzzle Videos (Central Africa) - Below!
That's all for today ladies and gentlemen!  I hope that you enjoyed the film despite its depressing content!  Don't forget that I will be out on Thursday and you will have work to do with a sub.  I look forward to seeing you all again on Friday!  Take care and have a great evening!

Live long and prosper,

Mr. Marchetti
