March 14 - Sub Day

Hello ladies and gentlemen,

I am sorry that I am not there with you today!  It is the last of the District Professional Development days that I will be forced to miss class for and that I disdain a great deal.  Huzzah...  Today in class you will be completing the Rwanda Scavenger Hunt, to provide additional context and more specific detail regarding the Rwandan Genocide now that we have finished watching the film.  Once you complete the Scavenger Hunt, you will have time to begin working on your Current Event (due tomorrow) or on your Africa Maps, or on those EdPuzzle Videos.  I look forward to seeing you all again tomorrow!  Below you will find our agenda, homework, and resources for the day.

Objectives:
  1. Investigate the context of the Rwandan genocide and the people/groups involved through a scavenger hunt
Agenda:
  1. Rwandan Scavenger Hunt
    1. Rwanda Scavenger Hunt Worksheet
    2. Rwandan Scavenger Hunt Resources

  1. Start Homework:
    1. Current Event #5 (due Friday)
    2. Africa Maps (Map test on Monday!)
    3. EdPuzzle Videos

That's all for today ladies and gentlemen!  I hope that you were able to finish everything ok!  Make sure that you do your work diligently and follow the instructions from the substitute.  I look forward to seeing you all again soon!  Take care!

Live long and prosper,

Mr. Marchetti
