February 9 - Sub Day

Hello ladies and gentlemen,

Sorry I am gone today.  I have been feeling pretty sick and needed a day to rest.  Today in class you will be working on argumentative writing.  You will be following the Toulmin method of argumentation.  There are many resources available to you here on the blog and in the class drive.  It is important, as with many of our writing workshops, that you try to develop these skills to improve yourselves as writers.  This will help you a lot in your future classes!  Below you will find our agenda, homework, and resources.

Objectives:
  1. Write an argumentative paragraph based on the class discussion using a deconstructed paragraph and engaging in peer review and self-reflection
Agenda:
  1. History Today #11 - MAKE SURE YOU DO THIS!
  2. Discuss: Argumentative Writing (Toulmin Method)
  3. Workshop: Argumentative Writing Task
    1. Argumentative Writing Resources
Homework:
  1. Finish and submit the Argumentative Writing Task to Google Classroom!
  2. Watch the Population Pyramid Video below
    1. Answer the questions on a separate piece of paper
    2. Due Tuesday!
    3. Sorry I posted the wrong video on Thursday 😔
  3. Europe Map Test February 27
  4. Population Quiz on Thursday (Feb 16)
That's all for today ladies and gentlemen!  I hope that you finished everything that you could!  Have a wonderful weekend!  I look forward to seeing you all again next week!

    Live long and prosper,

    Mr. Marchetti
