September 17/18 - Finish Guess Where and Start History of Maps

Hello ladies and gentlemen,

Welcome and great to see you all!  Today in class we actually have quite a lot going on!  We will first be finishing up our Guess Where activity from the 5 Themes.  Then we will be starting to talk about the History of Maps and Map Making through a reading and annotation activity.  Finally today we will be starting our Virtual Campus Tour.  This will involve some new uses for our Digital Technology so we will spend today mostly going over the directions and practicing some new skills.  The main body of work will be over the next couple of days.  I hope you are all doing well and excited for another day and a new topic!  Let's get down to business!  Below you will find our agenda, homework, and resources for the day.

  1. Read and digitally annotate a reading about the history of map making
  2. Preview the criteria for a project through discussion and questioning
  3. Practice Google Apps functionality that will be used for the Virtual Campus Tour
