November 9 - Intro Workshop Day 2

Hello ladies and gentlemen,

Today in class we will be completing our Introductory Writing Workshop.  I hope that you do your best to make sure that your work is at its best effort.  This is our last day together until next week so lets make it a good one!  Below you will find our agenda, homework, and resources for the day.

Objectives:

1. Write an introduction paragraph in response to the unit question using Google Docs technology and a peer review process

Agenda:

1. History Today #23
2. Workshop: Intro Writing
1. Intro Writing Sample
3. Finish the Intro Writing Activity early? --> EXTRA CREDIT!!!!
1. Choose a Comic book available in class
1. Must choose a whole story
1. Either a trade (collection of stories)
2. Or a series of issues that make up a story
2. Read it!!!
3. Write a one (or more) page refection on what you read.  Answer the questions below
1. Why did you choose this comic book?
2. Summarize the story.
3. What did you learn while reading?
4. How does the combination of pictures and words make good literature?
5. Would you try reading a comic again?  Why?
4. DUE MONDAY
1. Remember that Extra Credit Points are completely subjective and may or may not be applied to your grade depending on the quality of your work 😜
