Hello ladies and gentlemen,

Today in class we will be starting a little writing workshop.  Writing is one of the most important skills to develop in high school.  Improving your skills as a writer can open many doors for you, especially when you get to the point of college admissions.  Too many colleges report students entering without the basic ability to write at a college level.  As a result we will spend some time throughout the semester working on our writing skills.  This workshop is more important to develop your skills than be perfect so take it seriously and work hard to improve.  I look forward to seeing how you all do!  Below you will find our agenda, homework, and resources for the day.

Objectives:

1. Write an introduction paragraph in response to a student generated prompt using Google Docs technology and a peer review process
