Today in class we discussed the aftermath of the events in Hotel Rwanda, the Rwandan Genocide and the 1st and 2nd Congo Wars. After we discussed these events you started working on a Timeline Project. You can find the directions for the Timeline Project below.
Use the directions from the PPT
Rwanda and Congo Wars PPT
Use this template as a starting point for your creation (remember only one member of your group should create the document and then share it with the other group members). Make a copy of this so you can work on it.
Timeline Template
Directions:
- Create timeline (1800-2013) of:
- Pre-Imperial Central Africa
- 1+ Event/Concept
- Imperial Central Africa
- 1+ Event/Concept
- Post-Imperial Central Africa
- 4-6 Events/Concepts
- Please use a color code for each section! Use the list of events/concepts
- For each concept:
- Identify:
- Name of Concept/Event
- When? (Date)
- Who (was involved)?
- What and where (happenings in which part of Central Africa)?
- Why (is this important)?
- Once you have finished collecting your data
- Include visual documents to support each timeline description (charts/graphs/maps/photographs/political cartoons)
You will be working in groups of 2-3 and will submit your document as a shared work. Only the original creator will be turning it in so it is important that all of your group member's names appear in the title and the document!
This timeline will be due on Friday at midnight to Google Classroom (subject to change, remember to check the blog for updates!)
Take care all!
Live long and prosper,
Mr. Marchetti
