Hello ladies and gentlemen,
Today in class we discussed the aftermath of the events in Hotel Rwanda, the Rwandan Genocide and the 1st and 2nd Congo Wars. After we discussed these events you started working on a Timeline Project. You can find the directions for the Timeline Project below.

Today in class we wrapped up our Rwanda Scavenger hunt and then reviewed the answers. We also summarized the Scavenger hunt information and discussed how it relates to the movie that we started watching today. At the end of the period we began watching the film, Hotel Rwanda, which we will finish on Friday.
Don't forget that our Africa Map test is on Monday!
Tomorrow during Tutorial I will be hosting a Africa Map Kahoot contest in preparation for Monday's Map Test (we will open up the curtain and do this with Mr. Thiemann's tutorial class).

After that we worked on a Rwanda Scavenger Hunt. For this activity you need the following documents in order to successfully complete it.
First open and make a copy of the worksheet that you will be using for this activity.

We started our unit of study on African History by discussing and taking notes on an overview of African history.

Today in class we discussed the readings for Guns, Germs, and Steel. We discussed the multiple reasons that the human race has diverged and developed as it did. We continued going over the readings together for the first section and then skimmed through the other four.
On Friday we will be watching the third episode from the documentary based on Guns, Germs, and Steel and we will begin discussing the impact on Africa.
