Welcome and great to see all you amazing people!  Today in class we will be discussing the history of European Imperialism and how it has impacted Africa.  We will then dive into a college level text that attempts to answer why Europeans were able to go out and conquer much of the rest of the world.  Should be a pretty interesting day!  Let's get down to business!  Below you will find our agenda, homework, and resources for the day.

1. Analyze the progression of European Imperialism with particular emphasis on the history of Africa
2. Skim and scan a college level text to better understand the theories of Jared Diamond
