Hello ladies and gentlemen,

Today in class we will be working on our Introductory Writing Workshop. Today you will examine your prompt and prepare yourself to write your Introductory paragraph.  First you will deconstruct the parts of your introductory paragraph, then you will write your rough drafts and get two others to peer review them.  On Friday you will look at the suggestions of your peers and write a final draft (you will only have 20 minutes to do so).  You will also have a Columbian Exchange and Biomes Quiz on Friday.  Below you will find our agenda, homework, and resources.

Essay Prompts by Period

1st Period - How did the Columbian Exchange impact the biomes and human characteristics of the world today?

3rd Period - How did the history of map making and the different biomes and climate types affect the trade of goods in the Columbian Exchange?  Give an example of each of the Five themes of geography and how it supports your answer.

5th Period - Describe the Five Themes of Geography and the development of map making, how did they spark the Columbian Exchange and our understanding of biomes and climates?
