August 31 - Intro Fairy Tale Project

Hello ladies and gentlemen,

Today in class we will be finishing our discussion of the Five Themes of Geography and then we will be starting our Fairy Tale Projects!  This is one of my favorite projects for the year.  You will be working with others to research another country and then rewrite a fairy tale as if it took place there.  This is supposed to be creative and fun so enjoy it!  Below you will find our agenda, homework, and resources for the day.

Objectives:

1. Create a fairytale book set in the geographic setting of a foreign country and aligned to the 5 Themes of Geography

August 29 - Intro Geography and Discuss 5 Themes

Hello ladies and gentlemen,

Welcome back ladies and gentlemen!  It is great to see you again after a prolonged time apart!  I hope that you feel like you know your classmates better after our partner presentations.  Today we are starting our first content unit about Geography!  This is a nice little intro that will lead us into one of my favorite projects for the year, which we will start on Thursday.  I hope you are all doing well and adjusting to high school!  Below you will find our agenda, homework, and resources for the day.

Objectives:

1. Work collaboratively to create a map of the world in under 10 minutes

August 22 - Google Drive Instruction Day 3

Hello ladies and gentlemen,

Today in class we will be continuing our work with your Paragraph about yourself.  Except today is going to be even more exciting because you will be creating a Slideshow to introduce your partner!  First we will be going over some of the functions of Google Slides, then you will get time to work on your partner's introduction.  After that we will do a short tutorial on good presentation skills.  This should be pretty quick and fun so I am looking forward to seeing what you got!  Below you will find our agenda, homework, and resources for the day.

August 21 - Google Drive Instruction Day 2

Hello ladies and gentlemen,

Today in class we will be catching up on our Paragraph about me assignments as well as organizing our Google Drive Accounts.  Remember that it is a Monday schedule (like Wednesday last week) and so we have a shortened amount of time together.  I hope that you all had great weekends, and are excited for your first FULL week of high school!  This should be good!  Below you will find our agenda, homework, and resources for the day.
