November 4 - Food Origins Activity

Hello ladies and gentlemen,

Welcome and great to see all you beautiful people!  Today in class you will have time to work on your Food Origins Activity.  This will be due on the next block class (you will have time to work on this in the next class).  Remember that you need to find the origins for each ingredient in your recipe!  This should help illustrate how the Colombian Exchange impacted the food we eat in the world today.  Below you will find our agenda, homework, and resources for the day.

October 31 & November 1 - Good Origins Activity

Welcome and great to see all you beautiful people!  It feels so good to be back with everyone!  Today in class we will be examining a food recipe and using this to expand our knowledge of the impact of the Colombian Exchange on the cuisine of the world.  This is usually a fun and interactive way to learn about how the Colombian Exchange had transformed the world!  Below you will find our agenda, homework, and resources for the day.

October 29 & 30 - Finish Spreadsheet and Biomes Reading

Hello ladies and gentlemen,

Welcome and great to see you all finally!  I am so excited to finally be back and spend time with you once again.  Today in class we will be completing the Biome Spreadsheet that you started yesterday/Monday, and then we will be starting a reading where you compare two different biomes.  Thus we continue working with Biomes and connecting the world that was brought together by the Colombian Exchange.  Below you will find our agenda, homework, and resources for the day.

Objectives:
  1. Read and annotate a text comparing biomes
  2. Create a venn diagram to graphically compare a taiga and temperate forest
  3. Write a comparative summary about biomes

October 28 - Biome Webquest

Hello ladies and gentlemen,

Welcome and glad that you are all here and ready to go for another week.  I am sad that I am not with you but I am also confident that you are doing great work in my absence!  Today in class you will be using web tools to create a graphic organizer and then using web resources to research and complete it!  This should be a fun and interactive way to continue building some of those skills!  Below you will find our agenda, homework, and resources for the day.

Surgery Update

Hello ladies and gentlemen,

I have missed you all this past week and hope that everyone has been able to stay on top of your work without too much trouble.  Unfortunately my surgeon wants me to stay out of work for an additional couple of days so I will not be back at school until Wednesday.  I hope that you are all doing well and getting your work done.  I honestly cannot wait to get back to work and be with you all.  Hope you are doing well!
