Hello ladies and gentlemen,

Welcome to your first block day of school here at the wonderful Leland High School.  Today in class we are easing into our curriculum for the year.  This class starts out at a fairly easy pace but ramps up in rigor and difficulty as we go.  Today we will be reviewing some key components of digital literacy, which it is vital that you learn for the rest of your high school career here!  I'm looking forward to working with you all today!  Below you will find our agenda, homework, and resources for the day.

Hello ladies and gentlemen,

Welcome to your first day of High School!  This is going to be sweet!  This is World Cultures and Geography.  The nice thing about this class is that we will be using a lot of digital technology in this course.  We will be examining the culture and geography of the world and people around us.  This will provide some excellent foundations for your future social studies courses.  I am a history fanatic and I expect all of you (regardless of how much you personally like history) to treat this class with respect.  Let's do this!  Below you will find our agenda, homework, and resources for the day.

Welcome to High School!

Hello ladies and gentlemen!

Welcome to the 2017-2018 school year and you first year of high school!  And welcome to World Cultures and Geography!  One thing you will learn about me very quickly is that I passionately love History!  I have loved the topic of history for my entire life.  It is my earnest desire that you will approach  this class with a sincere intent to learn and improve as a student and citizen.  You may not personally love history, but while you are here I expect you to treat it with respect!  The only thing I love more in my life than history is my wife.  I have a lot of other interests such as comic books, board games, movies, TV shows, sports (especially football!).  I have a pretty wide comic collection in my classroom that you are free to peruse whenever you have a free moment and even borrow if you ask.  I also have a small collection of board games that you are free to try during tutorial or another open time period.  If you ever have any questions or need any help just ask, I am always available to help out those who seek it.  I am very excited to be working with you all this school year!

I would definitely spend some time examining the many links found on this blog site as most of the resources that you will need throughout the year can be found here!  See you soon!
