Hello ladies and gentlemen,

Today we will be presenting our Etiquette Projects to the class.  This will not be a traditional, stand and deliver, presentation.  Instead, you will be setting up your presentation at your desk and other students will examine your presentation.  You will walk around and view other students' presentations and take notes as well.  We will then, time permitting, work on writing a compare and contrast paragraph.  Below you will find our agenda, homework, and resources for the day.

Objectives:

1. Collect information that was created by your peers in order to write a compare and contrast paragraph

Hello ladies and gentlemen,

Today in class we will be finishing our discussion of culture and continuing to work on the Etiquette Project.  You should be able to finish your Etiquette Projects by the end of the day, if not you may earn time to work on it tomorrow.  Let's stay focused and get it done!  Remember that these Etiquette Projects should be well constructed and thought out.  If you do not put any effort into it you will not do very well on the assignment.  Focus on what makes the culture you are researching unique and interesting!  I look forward to checking these out, I just know that you will all do great!  Below you will find our agenda, homework, and resources for the day.

Today in class we will be starting a little writing workshop.  Writing is one of the most important skills to develop in high school.  Improving your skills as a writer can open many doors for you, especially when you get to the point of college admissions.  Too many colleges report students entering without the basic ability to write at a college level.  As a result we will spend some time throughout the semester working on our writing skills.  This workshop is more important to develop your skills than be perfect so take it seriously and work hard to improve.  I look forward to seeing how you all do!  Below you will find our agenda, homework, and resources for the day.

Today in class we will be wrapping up the Biome Spreadsheet and Reading and then we will be doing a little bit of meta cognitive reflection on what we have studied so far.  This is an interesting little thinking activity where we will be putting all of our units together and thinking about how they connect as well as creating an essay prompt to unite them.  Hope everyone is keeping up with the pace of high school!  Below you will find our agenda, homework, and resources for the day.

Today in class we will be finishing our Biome and Climate spreadsheets and then working on a comparative reading about Biomes.  We are continuing to practice our digital skills, as well as our literacy skills, while learning about new thing.  Fun!  I hope that you all had a great Halloween yesterday and are reading to do more work!  Below you will find our agenda, homework, and resources for the day.
