Hello ladies and gentlemen,
Today in class we introduced and began working on our second Columbian Exchange activity. For this activity you are mapping the diffusion (spread) of different items from the Americas, Europe, Africa, & Asia. This is NOT homework as you will time to work and complete this activity on Wednesday.
I most likely will not be in class on Wednesday as I have to take my car into the shop. I will be expecting you to finish the mapping activity and you will also start an introductory activity with culture.
Take care ladies and gentlemen, see you soon.

Mr. Marchetti

Hello ladies and gentlemen,
Today in class we began discussing the Columbian Exchange and reading about it. We started by talking about where different foods come from and how because of modern trade we can eat fruits and vegetables any time of year because of the seasons around the world. We then took a look at the introduction of a book on the Columbian Exchange and after that you began reading and annotating an article on the same.
You need to finish reading and annotating the article as well as the graphic organizer on the back for homework due Friday.
I look forward to seeing you all soon.
Live long and prosper,
Mr. Marchetti

Hello ladies and gentlemen,
Today in class you had the period in which to work on your Cartographer projects. Most of you did a good job of working hard to get as much done as you can, since many of you worked hard and were still unable to complete the cartography project you will get some time on Monday to finish it.
Monday you will receive some time to finish your cartographer project and you will also have a quiz. The quiz will be covering latitude, longitude, the seasons, and the history of maps and mapmaking. This quiz will be towards the end of the period.
Have a great weekend ladies and gentlemen, remember that Monday will be a Friday schedule because of the homecoming rally schedule.
Live long and prosper,

Hello ladies and gentlemen,
Today in class we had some fun talking about the path to college, and after that we finished our notes on Latitude and Longitude. Once we had finished discussing Latitude and Longitude we began working on a practice packet, to ensure that we understand the concepts. Most people were able to finish before the period ended and if you did not you will have some time on Friday to do so.
On Friday after we finish reviewing Latitude and Longitude, we will be discussing the history and functions of maps and map tools.
I hope that you are all doing well and I will be seeing you on Friday.
Live long and prosper,
Mr. Marchetti
